Does management think it’s part of the bargain
To keep us confused by coining new jargon?
Why else would they strive to be so inventive
Whenever they try to give me incentive?
Yes – I’ve been “incented” and “incentified”
And then at another time “incentivised”.
Whatever the means to “incentivate” be
Their much-mangled language won’t motivate me.
But our politicians are very much worse,
With their overuse of this ‘noun-verbing’ curse.
